I dig how it is. There's so many use cases, so many possibilities, so many skill levels amongst the audience, so many tangents. You've made certain assumptions and ran with that. Newbies to Eclipse will have a tough time, newbies to Java will have a rough time. And folks looking for a full implementation stack will be frustrated. Oh well. It just depends on how broad you wish your scope to be. I think however wide the net, you'll find an audience...or rather, the right audience will find you.

It would be great to have a tutorial to see how to put together the PDF doc in a java web application and how to save it to a mySQL db and read it back out to display it inside the app

I care about my audience and want to impart knowledge to as many people as possible, I just had the feeling that the last 16 min tutorial is too long and many generally start losing their concentration after 8 or 9 min. This is why I wanted to try something new, something that doesn't waste time in explaining and just shows what you can do with it.
I already got a couple of critics and complaints that this is too fast, so in the future I'll be making the videos the way everyone's used to again.
