Mum Tries To Destroy Windows 2000 (2000) - OSFirstTimer Advanced #2

How hard is it too destroy an operating system? How easy is it to get a computer virus while browsing online? Are error messages really that common? Find out the answer to all of these questions as Diana attempts to viciously attack windows 2000.

OSFirstTimer Advanced ditches the original 5 basic tasks and introduces a new random advanced task each episode. The task can involve literally anything from video editing to 3d modeling to programming and even attempting to destroy an operating system.

Random tasks using random software in random operating systems from random time periods... now this will be a lot more interesting! Don't worry though as we may occasionally go back to our roots and do a few "original series" episodes.

The reason why Notepad still appeared in the Start menu at 20:52 is because there is also a copy of it in the System32 folder which the Start menu accesses. Also, system files came back because there is a backup in the dllcache folder of previously said directory.

Modern Windows versions keep a backup of critical system files, so that when the originals are deleted they can be replaced. So unfortunately, 2000 isn't magic. However, it is a great OS. :D

The reason why files reappear after being deleted that are used by the system is because of Windows File Protection. Windows File Protection attempts to stop users from deleting, renaming, or modifying critical system files in order to keep Windows working properly.

Your mom is so adorable. Great idea, having her do all these geek challenges. She could have probably gotten the pc infected with virus by browsing porn websites or downloading pirated stuff but that stuff usually takes more than an hour to grind down your pc. Usually weeks.
