That rookie chat is more helpful then most ppl might think. In most games those types of channels dont do mutch or they tend to be out of control and there is very little help going on in there. But in Eve this channel is very helpful. At times u can get abit off topic argument going on in there but there are special marked players that tend to hang out in there to keep the channel clear of that when it happens. Even if u are not new and just forgot something u can pop in and ask where u can find that or what hotkey brings up this meny or something and for the most part u get a quick answer. Dont forget to say thx so they know it was helpful.

So this isn't a game of competition, rather of advancement?? I don't want to start a game where I get killed every 57 seconds... It sure looks amazing, and I've always loved Space Flyer games... It's a lot "heavier" than Diablo 3, and I gave up on that one after 9 months... Hope this one isn't like that... I'm gonna try it out... Thanks for the excellent video... It makes me more inclined to give Eve a try since you can use game currency to pay for subs ... Though it looks far more difficult to master than the WOW economy was for me, due to EVE's ultra rich competition .. I used to make a killing buying/selling pets, at one point having $600 on my Blizzard account and all their games and content paid for, just from converting auction house earnings.

It says it's for Dummies, but it starts with you in a spaceship. Apparently I am something less than a dummy because I can't even get that far. Just confronted with choices when I open the game for the first time without any guidance on how to make those choices

When people lose their spaceships and have player interaction early on, they get a taste of eve and play for life. When they do pve and mining and cry for more safety, eve dies a little and they leave.

the best way to play eve online is to install the game, watch several hours of gameplay then uninstall the game. this is the only way to win.
