Agree bro. As a Yg Stan, I think Teddy is now in his obvious sampling era. It all started from Shut down when he sampled that classical song and he's been doing it continuously. With the song he made with Island 2 and somi fast forward comeback he sampled Alot. He's buying into the new producer trend where producers just revamp samples to make them sound 'cleaner' or 'fresh'. And it's affecting Somi so much as he produces and writes most of her music. Before Somi used to be my top 3 soloist now...idk. 🤦‍♀️

The retro wasn’t blackpink it was just because they had VERY similar teaser pictures, name, and they were basically in the same company. The thing is they could have easily fixed this just by doing a different concept for the teaser pictures since the MV was a very different vibe too

I became a fan of Somi after listening to Fast Forward. Thought it was good. Empty chorus, yeah, but you know it was pretty good. But man... what is going on in the music production department? Is Teddy okay? Does he need a break? He's been working non-stop for years as a music producer. Maybe he needs a break or to retire.

Mismanagement is underselling it. Somi is the ideal artist for a k-pop company to strike hard into the western music market. She’s not a “Kpop star” She has straight up international pop star baked in. But management has no idea how to get there. How to achieve it. Black Pink was a happy accident, and they still try to ignore the massive western fan base.

My problem with Somi is that she is clearly very talented and charismatic. But her music has only ever been just… okay. Like the most I get is catchy and fun dances. Fast forward and Outta My Head have been the only songs that I actually liked. And I have been tuning back in to every comeback just hoping and praying that this time around she’ll release something that shows everything she’s capable of, and so far every time I’ve come back disappointed
