Being an aggressive and effective player on the basketball court can start with being in the triple-threat position. The triple-threat position allows you to take a shot when you are open. It can also set you up to dribble or pass the ball to a teammate.

When getting into the triple-threat position, you must have the ball between your shoulder and knee with your elbow behind the ball. Your off-hand should be on the ball to help secure it. Your knees should be bent with you back straight and eyes up. Keep your weight on the balls of your feet, not on your heels.
