THIS NEW CIRCLE SCALING UPDATE IS GAME BREAKING! Build a Boat

TODAY WE CHECK OUT THE EASIEST WAY TO BUILD CIRCLES IN Build a Boat!

Tutorial:
These are the different equations you can use to create your circles, use the ""ONE SIDE"" equations when you want to only scale your block on one side. And use the ""BOTH SIDE"" Equations when you want to scale the block on both sides. The total size of the block will be the same with both equations. It ONLY changes where the centre of the block will be located.

Scale on ONE SIDE
5° Circle: (BlockLength*0.044)-2=
10° Circle: (BlockLength*0.088)-2=
15° Circle: (BlockLength*0.132)-2=
30° Circle: (BlockLength*0.268)-2=

Scale on BOTH SIDES
5° Circle: ((BlockLength*0.044)-2)/2=
10° Circle: ((BlockLength*0.088)-2)/2=
15° Circle: ((BlockLength*0.132)-2)/2=
30° Circle: ((BlockLength*0.268)-2)/2=

I would like to give a special thank you to u/Hot_Particular5207 (jojoo43) for discovering this and u/Distinct_Use_9575 (Yeeme) for expanding upon it.

Here's a super simple way of making wheels/circles:grab any block and set it to any scale and just rotate it forty five degrees then find out what's the half of forty five then rotate with that degree(for example:22.5) if you have a big wheel/circle, then find out the half of 22.5(which is 11.25) then rotate with that, super simple

So the way you solve for other rotations is really easy since we already have one. Say that we didn’t know 5 degrees. All you do is divide the 0.132 from the 15 by 3, to get to 5. Not only that but if you needed 45 you could just multiply 0.132 by 3.

For anyone wondering, the equation was multiply by 0.132 and subtract 2

best trick ever, very helpful for my build

I found out that if it poops out a negative number get the number without the negative and scale it down and it should work.

Since this is using the equation to find arc length, it gets better with more number of sides but performs poorly with lower number of sided ‘circles’ and smaller ‘circles’. Since they aren’t really circle but polygons, trigonometry works better for it.

Hey Jesse I don’t know if you are reading this but on Xbox if you try and press the + button on scale tool you can’t select it can you please tell chill

For every degree added add 0.0088 to what u multiply by so 16° is 0.132+0.0088 or 0.1408. Sadly the game doesn’t allow a size of 0.0088 so you can’t get that precise.

For a one block wide circle it’s 5.57 repeating or 552/99 length added the the original one block if u were wondering

Zorkillz

Length of block x 0.132 - 2 = x
Scale width of block to the side by x
Clone up 2 studs
Move down 2 studs
Rotate by 15 degrees
Repeat until circle
And behold your

For ONE SIDE

For BOTH SIDES

ur welcome and by the way dont try with 1 degree of every turn because the game doesent let you get so precise

Finally after 2 year of playing this game now I know how to make a circle 😂

Universal formula: “blocklength * (degrees * 0, 0088) -2”

You can also use this as you want for height you use width / tan(degree)
If you want height then tan(degree) * width
