Amen Rob! Here's my daily Pinnacle Protocol (It involves stacking or layering multiple best practices) Hope it may prove helpful for some of your reboot community.
1.a. 5:00 am club
1. b cold shower
2. Read (The Obstacle is The Way by Ryan Holiday which has lots on Willpower!) and Essentialism by Geoff McKeown right now)
3. Meditation- I use the Muse brain training headband
4. MCT oil, Omega 3, and a nootropic, I like Shanti and Neurozest, basically ashwagandha and ginko biloba
5. Work-outs/weight training
6. Journal
7. Sleep routine ( we all know it, no phones before bed or waking up, no caffeine after noon, dark, cool room...)
8. Productivity (work) in 90 minute focused chunks.
9. Budget/work finances.
10. family time
11. Currently single but when partnered would include dedicated time with her.

Again, this is a daily routine. But take fitness for example, weights would be 3x wk but day offs are walks/hikes etc. Onwards to best self gentlemen.

So this video taught me that I live my entire life on discipline. I am always running on empty

I always say: Discipline and willpower are like muscles. You can train them. And its very true.

I realized how true this was, I did a workout from 6:40pm-11:40 pm and I felt like I could do more. I only had a total of 1 hour to rest during the workout. I usually sleep around 9 PM so this was new to me. As soon as you start to feel tired, you’re just scratching the surface

We are actually biomachines with our own spesific rules. But there are fundamentals and it's one of them! We have real soul batteries actually!

Scientific studies are always questionable to say the least. You always need to be very careful how you interpret them & they just hear a study & believe it. Biology students have literally a course where they are taught how to interpret new biological research coming out. Just don't hear about a study & believe it, read between the lines, use context & different variables to come with your own conclusions, match them with other people & learn from them. Then you can make a very nuanced conclusion that isn't dogmactic in nature.

I'll be honest. I don't find either concept super useful. Awareness and focus with a smidge of intent have been more useful, obviously working with myself and my environment.. but yeah.

It sounds like it depends on your goal.

Hey Rob, great video I must say!

I'm asking for your advice on this situation as I've come to a point of uncertainty with my thoughts. I've gotten sick over the weekend, still went in for work yesterday but knew I couldn't do the same today and had to take a day off. When I called my boss to inform him, he told me I can't just stay at home for every little thing and that we had important work to do. I have gotten sick a lot more (never have been as much in my life as right now) and have stayed home for that reason twice in the past 2 months or so. Now I am unsure what to think. Of course just telling me to get my shit together is rude, but it does make me think: Should I take my time off to get well again or is this some kind of weak thinking? I'm really curious to hear your thoughts on this topic. Thank you

The premise is fundamentally flawed. It’s not the number of things, but the number of decisions ie decision fatigue. Describes an alternative but is supposition without any real backing - is entirely anecdotal.
