T1 could've just made the simple braindead (and arguably logical) decision to replace him. It's not like they're one of the greatest teams of all time or anything. Who in their right mind would want to be on a trash team like T1, right? ;)

They didn't.

You don't often hear of professional League teams having "Heart"; but this was an unexpected yet very much appreciated example of such.

This would be less surprising from a lower-tier team that simply couldn't afford a replacement. They could've just lied:

"We believe in you"

(until they found someone better).

Contracting Rekkles was already a gamble, yet they're doubling down on it.

I've never been much of a Rekkles or even T1 fan to begin with, but having been diagnosed with MDD, I understand first-hand the perspective of being "broken product". Even if he does eventually get replaced, Rekkles will at least always have the bragging rights of being on the world's favourite League team; which will be one hell of a consolation prize for whatever his future endeavors are if need be.

A genuine "Kintsugi / Wabi-Sabi" mindset, as far as I'm concerned.
