To create a hook spring in Catia V5, you can follow these steps:

1. Launch Catia V5 and create a new part file.
2. Switch to the "Part Design" workbench.
3. Start by creating a sketch on the XY plane to define the profile of the hook spring. Use sketch tools such as lines, arcs, and splines to create the desired shape.
4. Once you have finished sketching, exit the sketching mode.
5. Now, select the "Pad" tool from the toolbar or go to "Insert" "Pad" to extrude the sketch into a 3D shape. Specify the desired thickness for the hook spring.
6. Next, create another sketch on one of the faces of the extruded shape to define the cross-section of the spring wire. Again, use sketch tools to create the desired shape.
7. Exit the sketching mode and use the "Wireframe and Surface Design" workbench.
8. Select the "Helix/Spiral" tool from the toolbar or go to "Insert" "Helix/Spiral" to create a helix that represents the coiled wire of the spring. Set the desired parameters such as pitch, height, and number of turns.
9. Once the helix is created, exit the tool.
10. Now, switch back to the "Part Design" workbench.
11. Use the "Sweep" tool from the toolbar or go to "Insert" "Sweep" to sweep the sketch of the cross-section along the helix. This will create the spring wire.
