The Talisman - a Verdadeira historia por trás da canção

Não muito depois da fundação de Jamestown, os ingleses iniciaram o processo de colonização da costa nordeste dos atuais Estados Unidos. O segundo assentamento inglês permanente em solo americano foi fundado na Nova Inglaterra, e foi fundado por dois grupos religiosos diferentes. Ambos os grupos eram a favor de uma reforma geral na Igreja e da eliminação de elementos católicos na Igreja da Inglaterra. Enquanto que os peregrinos buscaram sair da Igreja da Inglaterra, os puritanos queriam reformá-la, através da instalação de uma santa comunidade em uma sociedade que eles posteriormente construiriam no Novo Mundo.O puritanismo designa uma concepção da fé cristã desenvolvida na Inglaterra por uma comunidade de protestantes radicais depois da Reforma.

As críticas à política da Rainha Isabel partiram de grupos calvinistas ingleses, que foram denominados puritanos porque pretendiam purificar a Igreja Anglicana, retirando-lhe os resíduos de catolicismo, de modo a tornar sua liturgia mais próxima do calvinismo.
Desde o início, os puritanos já aceitavam a doutrina da predestinação. O movimento foi perseguido na Inglaterra, razão pela qual muitos deles fugiram deixando pra trás todas suas vidas na antiga terra.
Onde através de uma épica travessia marítima eles levavam consigo para a sua nova terra o tal talismã ou seja a primeira bíblia protestante.

The Talisman - The Real Story

Not long after the founding of Jamestown , the English began the process of colonization of the northeast coast of the United States today . The second permanent English settlement on American soil was founded in New England , and was founded by two different religious groups . Both groups were in favor of a general reform in the Church and the elimination of Catholic elements in the Church of England . While the pilgrims sought out the Church of England , the Puritans wanted to reform it by installing a holy community in a society they would build later in the New Puritanism world.The designates a conception of the Christian faith developed in England by a community radical Protestants after the Reformation .

Criticism of the policy of Queen Elizabeth departed from English Calvinist groups , which were called Puritans because they wanted to purify the Anglican Church by withdrawing waste Catholicism in order to make their next of Calvinism liturgy.
From the beginning , the Puritans have accepted the doctrine of predestination . The movement was persecuted in England , which is why many of them fled leaving behind all their lives in the ancient land .
