Maté or mate is pronounced maht-eh if I've heard correctly. I could be wrong, but I absolutely was like 'what the heck is mate tea!?' the first time I saw it written out. 😂 I've only ever had it a few times but it is pretty tasty! Also your tea steeper is so pretty! 😍

This is one of my favorite tea companies! I had the same thoughts about the sage tea the first time I tried it. It has been 3 years since I last placed an order, I need to change that now that I'm back in the states!

Emily, for that first sample you mentioned, I think you will find that the word is not pronounced MATE - but instead it is pronounced Mah-tay. Its from south america.
