DNC 2024: Ilhan Omar criticises Biden administration for failing to secure truce in Gaza

US Democratic representative Ilhan Omar described Secretary of State Antony Blinken's visit to Israel, where he failed to secure a Gaza ceasefire deal, as a "humiliation" faced by Biden administration representatives.

The Minnesota representative noted that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a press conference declaring that no deal would be accepted immediately after Blinken had stated they were close to securing a ceasefire.
Omar made the comments at the Uncommitted movement's press conference in Chicago, Illinois, where thousands of attendees were gathered for the Democratic National Convention (DNC).
