Cb500f 0-100 is in 5.8 check other video's before you sharing someone else bike accelerations....

The Ninja 400 and Z400 are the best bike on the market, and have owned that corner of the market for 4 straight years. It'll be nice to see Yamaha and Suzuki make a higher compression 400 to compete directly with the Kawasaki at under $5, 600 MSRP hopefully one day, because Suzuki has nothing, the Yamaha R3 is MUCH slower, and Honda never cares about fun engines, they tune everything low to ensure it'll last 50, 000+ miles. I just picke dup a Z400 used and it's the perfect motorcycle. 364 lbs and 45 horsepower is ideal for ripping around a city having fun.

Just taking separate content doesn’t really tell us much and the biggest issue is we know nothing about the Speedo accuracy. Unless you have two or three side by side runs you just don’t know how these two compare.

When I rode both i came away really impressed with the z400 chassis, so light and precise, but found it much smaller than the cb

How do you measure 0-100 timing I don't know :) z400 reaches to 100 for 4.66 sec in this video. And of course cb500f lower than your describe.

8 seconds 0 - 100 km/h is the WORST ride I have ever seen on youtube. The CB500F easily does 5, 5 seconds.

Noticed that the Z has a full gas tank while the cb500 is nearly empty. But the Z still managed to accelerate way faster. In terms of top end its pretty much it, they are even. I have a z400 2019 and my friends own a 2021 cb500 and we tried once from a dig and the Z leaves it on the dust easily. But on a roll they are pretty much even, the Z has a little upper hand on mid range rpm so she starts to walk away from the cb500 slowly.

The Z400 isn't as nicely put together, but it saves weight which helps acceleration. The CB should put down more power than that video shows, rider looks like they messed up the clutch release at launch as the pick-up is slow. These clips really don't give fair comparisons, rider's technique & ability can be different, the road incline and conditions vary. But getting off the line first isn't exactly the best measure of the quality of a bike anyway, a big scooter can rocket faster than a sport bike to 30-40kph, but a scooter is totally outclassed in the twisties and race track obviously.
