One of what makes British military bands stand head above shoulders is the rich tradition of musical composition. Much of what is written as marching pieces stand good stead in civil life as well. Fabulous.

I'm a Brit abroad with family there that I last visited in August 2019 (also taking in my daughter's Oxford Graduation - what happy, carefree days before everything changed).
