Super early...but I really appreciate the do not disturb features as well as the features added for Siri. Especially the feature that is similar to Bixby’s: make a number of tasks happen with a specific command

The one thing I'm most excited about is tough because there's a lot there but I think it's a three-way tie for grouped notifications (FINALLY!!!) as well as Siri Shortcuts and Memoji. I almost never use Animoji but I have to say that the Memoji got me a bit excited too and I could see myself using those more than the Animoji characters.

To expand on Siri Shortcuts a bit, with all the fuss about Apple making Siri smarter than (or as smart as) Google Assistant or Alexa, I think this is Apple showing us that they're going in a different direction. Rather than trying to compete with Google -- owners of the two largest search engines in the world, Google.com and YouTube -- Apple's approach is to have the user help make Siri smarter by creating shortcuts to actions you want triggered that she lacks the data set to figure out autonomously.

Apple's smart to take this route because in order to truly compete with Google they'll have to mine a ton of user data and because they're so committed to privacy -- for better or worse -- they can't compile the necessary data to make Siri a true competitor to Google Assistant or Alexa. Apple's not watching your every move on a search engine or what you buy from an online store. In fact they're doing more to battle against some of their own partners like Facebook by locking down Safari even more than it already is.

A case could be made for either Google or Apple having the better approach but I like that Apple is thinking a bit outside the box and that their method could equate to a better experience because instead of waiting for an AI to figure out what you need based first on you doing something multiple times you can just command Siri to work for you based on a set of predefined tasks and for most any app on your phone. I'm not sure if Google Assistant has that capability (but I'm sure they'll be working on something after seeing this keynote).

As for macOS the new Dark Mode looks amazing! Also love the metadata info in Finder, the new Gallery view (I think that's what they called it), the new Quick Look and Screenshot editing features, Stacks (though I'll probably never need that since I pride myself on having a completely file-free desktop) as well as the dynamic desktop that changes the wallpaper as the day goes on. That's pretty cool.

As usual Apple impresses and while I hate that we'll have to wait another 3 to 4 months to get these features I'm sure they'll be extremely polished when they arrive. Apple can't afford another iOS 11 bug fest.
