WHY a 40 TEAM NFL will TOTALLY HAPPEN

Watch me contradict myself as I make a video saying that a 40 team NFL will happen when I said it wouldn't. Yes, there are a lot of markets the league expands to, and it happens all in due time.

Don't forget to like my page on Facebook:

I would very much like it if you subscribed for my somewhat funny sports videos.

I love how he's describing Oakland as a former NFL market, despite the fact that the NFL hasn't technically left *yet*

You're giving me mixed messages here, Five Points

If the NFL were to expand, they should go with areas with the largest football market like Oklahoma and Alabama, or start up a cross town rivalry, for example by placing an expansion in Portland to compete against Seattle.

For this to work and prevent new expansion teams from becoming doormats for the established teams for a decade, there are a few preemptive changes they need to make. First, they need to increase their rosters from 53 (of which 46 are active) to at least 60. Players designated as practice squad members are must make the full-time roster within 2 years or are automatically cut. This should increase to 4 years to allow an expanded roster's players, most importantly quarterbacks, time to develop. When an expansion draft does take place, there will be an bigger pool of quality players to chose and hopefully allow expansion teams to become competitive sooner. I would rather carve out my own eyes with a spoon than watch an expansion team go 0-32 its first 2 years in an expanded league.

Out of my 22 years of life in Memphis, Memphis has hosted the Titans, Memphis Maniacs, Memphis Express, and several semi pro teams all but the titans (who were in the relocation process) have failed. Memphis having a high poverty percent, it will not have an NFL team for a very very very long time if ever

While I would love to see Columbus have an NFL team, OSU Buckeye football is already huge in the capital city. Not sure where they'd play in the city and the competition with the college would be tough. All that said though, why not?

My 8 new teams and temporary stadiums
Milwaukee Tundra: American Family Field
Birmingham Tigers: Protective Stadium (Possibly permanent if further expanded)
Columbus Panhandles: Ohio Stadium
St. Louis Archers: The Dome at America’s Center (Permanent until new one is needed)
Norfolk Sailors: S.B. Ballard Stadium
Memphis Kings: Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium
Portland Coyotes: Providence Park
San Diego Spears: Petco Park

Columbus, Norfolk, and Memphis are probably the most unlikely on this list as they would be rivaled for fans by closer teams, or the city being unable to sustain a team.

There would be 40 teams, and Colin Kaepernick still wouldn't play.

It's never going to happen, owners are too greedy and dont want to have to spread the wealth with 8 other owners.

You could put a team in Toronto and grab that market. MLSE would be a happy owner.

40 teams in the NFL will work.

And the Chargers move back to San Diego.

Virginia Beach native here, Hampton Roads will never have an NFL team. We had massive squabbles in the city over building an arena at the oceanfront. We also have an extremely transient population due to heavy military influence. Not saying if an owner came forward with a deal the city couldn’t refuse that the city council wouldn’t jump on it, just that as of right now, it ain’t gonna work here. Thanks for videos though, love the work put into each and every one of them.
