Nah rusty lake is not about being horrer based. Its about real life depression and saddens and real life creepy stuff like alchemy and death and rebirth. Its not about freaky inescts like people

Life gallery is just really weird and not focused on puzzles or story-telling like Rusty Lake. However, I did enjoy Cat Museum as a game with great animation, simple story & puzzle for relaxing time, but I honestly think these two should be in a different catergory from Rusty Lake. Rusty Lake is hard and requires a lot of brain energy, logical thinking AND thinking outside the box AND illogical/weird/horrifying imagination.

I absolutely love Rusty Lake and the closest you get to it is Dark Dome. Great puzzles, story, animation, convenient design, etc.

Similar puzzle games you may want to try are Labeledman's Room escape, Bamgru's Diary of Darkness and The Enigma Mansion, Forgotten Hills.

In my opinion, Labeledman's have good puzzles, smooth animation, but the colours are dull which makes the game looks boring, the inventory design is inconvenient. Bamgru's puzzles are pretty fun, its access to phone vibration makes the playing experience even more fun, but some hidden clues are too small and had no option to magnify them. I have never actually play Forgotten Hills because I hated how it looks (at least on mobile) and how uncomfortable playing it, trying to solve puzzles was, it's like one of those cheap-ass escape puzzle game in vertical screen. Idk I just hate it, I want landscape view lol.

However, you can play anything you want and have your own opinion about it, especially if you have a lot of time, energy and love solving all puzzle games in existence.

I mean it does have a similar vibe but both are completely different. Rusty lake is more focused on the story while Life gallery is more gorey. Both can be good depending on who you are. Im still a Rusty lake stan tho❤

life gallery (and cat museum of something) before rusty lake games. I like the look of life gallery and the other one but I love rusty lake's puzzles.

I don't think that Rusty Lake is designed to be a horror game but more a why-the-hack-am-I- entering-Vanderboom's-nipple kind of game.

I love life gallery! The story is so well thought and the whole game and imagery has this disturbing yet comforting vibe, the music is beautiful! I definitely recommend playing the game
