In this episode, I discuss:

Robert Louis Stevenson (Treasure Island) went to medical school with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and studied under Dr.Joseph Bell as well and was the one to publicly point out Bell/Holmes connection in a letter. My relative was Stevenson's gardener and his name was William Bones. This is where the fictional pirate Billy Bones name came from. In the Muppet Treasure Island movie Billy Bones was played by Billy Connolly, whom later plays Thomas Bell in House show who House thought was his Dad for most his life. My name is Joseph Bones. Therefore I am related to House on my Muppets side of the family..

I'm chuckling at Lin Manuel Miranda being referred to as "the actor" XD that's the guy who wrote Hamilton.

Alvie was great, I wish the show would’ve kept him around. Him going to Phoenix was important for House’s character arc and having to be even lonelier, but I still wish he could’ve been around longer.

Also I hated the “cut out parts of her brain to cure her” thing in this episode since that’s not a treatment for prion diseases. There is no treatment, the person will always die. And it’s not like they haven’t solved hopeless cases before, and even let a woman die from a bacterial infection without even trying antibiotics once, so I don’t understand why the show was insistent on making up a cure for a prion disease

I never actually put together of house being like holmes. It makes sense with the entire series now. Good work to the creators if that was what they were going for. O.o

7:15 I partially agree here, for most circumstances talking things out and letting them come to the conclusion on their own is the ideal and optimal method however exceptions exist.

For example if I ever caught a child of mine in my room unsupervised and messing with my gun safe I would be doing a drill sergeant impression that R. Lee Ermey would be impressed by

House and Alvie together remind me of Shrek and Donkey.

The problem with NOT getting angry (or making a scene) is that eventually people get tired of being ignored. In the case of the woman being late, that's on her. But there are plenty of cases when someone is ACTUALLY being ignored for so long that their humanity can't take it anymore. You know the phrase "bad press is better than no press'? I think this applies to humans' desire for attention as well. Eventually, when we want (or, rather, NEED) attention, for one reason or another, ANY attention (even if it's negative) is better than society being apathetic toward us (no attention). As someone who is not very social (I'm not proactive, but I engage back) and has plenty of experience being hidden in plain sight (I've written a poem about it), society doesn't care unless you bring attention to yourself. "Squeaky wheel gets the oil" isn't a rule we should live by, rather, it's a simple fact of human nature: People reach a point where they NEED attention. They take extreme action. People finally respond because they're finally being affected themselves. Apathy has plagued our society more and more which is why, I believe, more and more people are acting in the extreme. Individually we must take it upon ourselves to see the lonely and forgotten and bring them tangible hope. And you can't "therapize" people into being content with loneliness; humans weren't meant for that.
