I love those long zone 4 efforts. We got a 9 mile climb over here and I'll go out and do the whole thing zone 4 and finish it with a 4 or 5 minute VO2 effort. Usually between 50-60 min total.

Clear instructions! Is your rest week every third week, meaning you train two weeks then one week rest? Cheers

Trains peaks etc will also show you the amount of time in each zone

Jealous of being able to train on Gyndier Drive. Love a closed road.

I have a newby question. When you kick into Zone 5 at 3:10, your cadence drops from the 80s to the 60s. I see the incline increasing, but did you also make a gear shift?

for reference, I’m an ex sinle speed rider who has only been on an indoor trainer the last year and a half and Zwift the last month. I know you address cadence at 6:00, but I’m specifically curious about that first big change.

WTF? this video does not make any sense. It sounds like just do laps on a circuit and do as much power as possible.

This sounds like "Sweet Spot" training. Frankly, I don't know if I support this video's claim. RCA themselves did a video on Zone 2 mistakes, and one of which is just spiking outside the zone. And if you watch Dylan Johnson's video on sweet spot vs polarized training, you know the benefits taper off compared to more focused training _if_ you have the time available to dedicate to training. Sweet spot is really good if you have limited time per week to train though. Sweet spot training is more of jack of all trades training, and doesn't target FTP / Endurance specifically.
I guess I'd be more convinced if this video cited some data. There's some claims and explanations here but I would be less skeptical if it was linked to studies that supported these claims that we could look up that connect them to FTP.
