Hey! I’m Damian Keyes and I've worked with musicians every day of my life for the past 20 years. The internet is de ply untrusting understandably and here is my background so you can have the full picture.

When I was 18, I was signed to a major label and at 23 I co-founded a Music University in Europe called BIMM (valued at $300M). I’m also a bass player, I’ve played for a number of artists including Eric Clapton, Alanis Morrisette and Billy Cobham. I initially retired at 30, but realised that life gets boring if you’re not building!

I have always been in-between the music industry and education which is how I ended up building my YouTube channel - I’ve been teaching artists how to release music long before it was a ‘niche’! I now educate artists around the world with my Academy, YouTube channel and Social Agency.

Greta job man, breaking down the process here. Sooo many people have no idea how to do this, and its VERY important now in the post-record label age. Labels did everything for us before, (unfortunately, ) and now we need t learn to do it all ourselves. Production no longer costs a ridiculous amount, advertisement doesn't either, booking isn't very hard either. But if you have no clue how to even start, then you will never get there. I really feel like most people just need a starting point and a tiny bit of guidance, just to get them running in the right direction, then If they're dedicated they'll run it the rest of the way. For years I've been looking for the insight that's in this channel, so really, thanks dude you're a credit to the industry!

We are living in a very strange times for artists ! I myself am a musician (classical) and a composer ! I’m definitely going to try this !

I do think though that people now a days see (as you say) so much content in a day … I think at the end of the day they don’t even remember what they’ve seen ! As evil as the music industry has been throughout the years and we all know by now, they had a structure of how to get out to the public with the ‘actual big artists’ from the past as we know them ! I think those days are over of that kind of stardom… maybe I’m wrong but… time will tell…
