Aegean Airlines/Olympic Airways special - AFW23, Tanagra AB

Показать описание
After the marvelous F-35A Solo, the oddest, weirdest display of Athens Flying Week takes place: An Aegean Airlines Airbus A320 performs a high-speed pass (well, for its type of aircraft, really) in front of the audience (I unfortunately didn't capture that) and then flies by with its gear and flaps extended, rocking its wing at the crowd. Simultaneously, an Olympic Airways ATR 72-600 lands on the runway at Tanagra AB and later taxies in front of the audience. Reminding us of the history of commercial aviation in Greece, it is a very bizzare and sudden turn from sleek, fast-flying afterburning fighter aircraft to slower-flying, large-size commercial aircraft.
