Trump to Give Green Cards to Foreign College Graduates, Particularly Indians | Firstpost America

Former US President Donald Trump proposes automatic green cards for foreign college graduates in the US as a part of their diploma and degree. In an interview, Trump was asked about plans for companies to be able to import the “best and brightest.” Trump said “anybody who graduates from a college,” including those who complete two-year programmes, known as junior colleges, and doctoral graduates will be given green cards. Trump also said that America was losing out as “bright Indians” were forced to return home after not getting a job in the United States. Trump’s promises come after Democrat opponent Joe Biden relaxed visa rules for around half a million spouses of US nationals, making it easier for them to obtain citizenship.

This is contributing to the brain drain in other countries. The idea for them to come here and study was for them to go back with their knowledge to the native country.

I agree with most of this, with a couple exceptions. I would say more than a 2 year degree, and ONLY degrees where the actual student shows up on Campus for classes, NO online degrees, must attend at least 75% of the classes/tests in person with an ID. There are already stories of people who got their HS Degree by cheating online.

We do need more people, either homegrown or foreign, wanting to stay in the USA, that have degrees in needed areas. But, we do NOT want someone, to become a doctor and work on patients, that paid someone to do all their college work for them online...

I think First Post needs to understand the difference between "Immigration" and "Illigal Immigration". Trump has mostly talked against "Illigal Immigration" and the one is the promising to provide greencard is for legal immigrants.
So simply put
"Invade the USA from the south border" - Bad
"Come to US legally by writing exams, filling all the paperwork and getting VISA approval" - Good
