I've met three military band players in the last three years and all of them have been the best of the best of the young players around. Don't be surprised at the high level of musicianship in the services.

Yeah, Bobby made this youngster play his balls off, and that's the function of a good teacher to inspire the pupils, to get the best out of them. Both solo's where good, loved all the triads Booby used in his solo, besides pentatonics also lot's of chromatics sounding real Jazzy and Bluesy, real good Stuff, great this was recorded capturing the great virtuosity and craftman-ship of Bobby, thanks for posting-Vic.

At this time the sax player is in the Marine's Jazz Band, and Military Band. Sadly Bobby Montoya has been layed to rest Saturday.

Forget the argument about who's the best guitarist ever. Let's just say that Bobby Montoya can hold his own against all of them. And that's not the most important topic either. The way he moves up and down his fret board is a one-of-a-kind phenomenon. So fitting that everything is so "clean" because Grover is known for the same style of sax play. This guitar solo is my favorite, taking out "Always with you" by Joe Satriani.
