The G4TV Relaunch DISASTER - How To Kill a Channel

G4TV has been relaunched, and their reception could no have been worse. What started with a rant against their own "sexist" audience... became a view botting controversy, exposure of past behavior by hosts, and a catastrophic decline in viewership which leaves them at odds with their own fans, and lacking momentum.

It remains to be seen whether or not they will right the ship, but as it stands... G4TV seems dead in the water as a long standing fan favorite is marred by controversy and scandal.

She managed to minimise the achievement of Morgan Webb and Oliva Munn, basically saying they were popular solely because they had good looks. Then she took a dump on her current hosts by saying they also gets hate, but since they are men, it doesn't matter as much as when it happens to her. Good job Lady, good job.

I'll never get how from all the female hosts available in the industry they chose the one that caused a ton of problems for Riot Games with her men hating behavior. She was a very controversial difficult to deal figure at LEC as well.

My dad and I used to watch Attack of the Show! and X-Play together every week when I was a teenager. I absolutely refuse to believe that anyone who was involved with producing those shows would be unaware just how much they were targeted specifically at horny gamers and "bro" culture. Picking up a woman who acts like Froskurinn did to be a host for the show was a horrible idea, one of the reasons people unironically liked Olivia Munn so much was because she played into the sex appeal aspect of the show while also managing to be actually entertaining and funny. Next they'll relaunch Girls Gone Wild as a documentary series about female empowerment in the workforce and be mad when people don't like it.

G4 died because of low ratings... partially because YouTube had better gaming content. Many creators today have better and far more interesting content. It's just repeating history.

Saw the blunders before they even happened. She was despised in the league scene for the way she acted and on top of it just being a terrible commentator. The teams she "coached" she was barely even a part of. Two of the teams she joined she was only a part of for a few months, one wasn't even competing yet and the other she was only an assistant on an already successful team that eventually lost its roster to other teams. The third one completely disbanded. League was very obviously a career move for her and nothing else. She made every event she was a part of worse, whether because she didn't know wtf she was talking about or due to her own antics. She can't take criticism which made things even worse. She was bad at her job and only kept it because she was an eternal victim. She had many occasions where she threatened to quit because of the criticism she received for her bad casting. On top of everything she is basically an admitted sexist and is known for taking every opportunity she can to exclude men from the things she does. She famously sided with Daniel Z Klein after he was outed for his sexism and racism and attacked Kelsey Moser when she told her that it was a step in the wrong direction if men are excluded. This isn't even getting into how she abused her power to get people banned on league and social media platforms then gloated about it afterwards

Doesn't she understand that the average "toxic male gamer" she's complaining about is probably 15 years old? Why let these people have so much power by addressing them and showing it bothers her? I figured this out by the time I was 10 years old, if you react to your bully you give them power and you show them your weakness. Ignore them and they have no power
