Take a hint from England. England focused and improved their white ball cricket in 2015 but it costed them in Test cricket. Now since last year they have had largely different sets of players (with the exception of 2 or 3) for red ball cricket and white ball cricket. And now they are doing exceptionally well in all three formats!!!

Ganguly is spot on with this. Someone needs to come out and confront these poor performing so called legend batsmen. You cant be selected just on the basis of name. Test team should be selected solely on the basis of players'performance in recent test and ranjee matches. young players need to be given chances. time is up for sharma, pooji, kohli and co..they are constantly underperforming in big matches

I have immense respect for Rahul Dravid as a player, as a person and I used to think that he was getting unfair hate for loosing Asia Cup, t20 world cup, Bangladesh odi series, SA test series and one off Eng test because I thought that a coach's job is to pick the right players and back them(not play on the field) which he was doing but the kind of excuses he has given in this interview and almost directly admitting that he and Rohit have themselves asked to make rank Turners to gain points for WTC is sign of loosers.I understand him defending star batsmen because he has to hold onto his job.
