That wire for kill switch has to be hooked up for it to start, in the run position? I bought a boat that has that same motor, but I didn't get that wire or string for kill switch... or should it still operate without it? Right now motor turns but won't start

Great vid.. i have a question for 9.9hp with 4strokes? Which is better for that engine yamaha or mercury or suzuki? Thanks... which is lighter and least noise from this three brand name?
