Sam Altman and the no release club is going to troll his way to zero employees and no customers. Cancelled and went to Anthropic.

I made an even more complicated scenario involving putting water and a marble in the cup, to see what it would say at different stages. This was the sus-column-r answer, genuinely impressive:
Let's analyze this scenario step by step:

1. **Marble Placement in the Cup:**
- Initially, the marble sits at the bottom of the cup due to gravity. Its density is greater than that of air, so it remains at the lowest point it can reach.

2. **Pouring Water into the Cup:**
- When water is poured into the cup, the marble might move slightly due to the flow of water but will generally stay near the bottom. Water's density is less than the marble's, so the marble will not float. Instead, it will remain at the bottom, now submerged in water.

3. **Placing a Plate on Top and Flipping the Cup:**
- **Water:** When the cup is flipped with a plate on top, gravity will pull the water towards the plate, which is now the bottom of this system. However, if the plate seals well against the cup, surface tension and air pressure might keep some or all of the water within the cup temporarily.
- **Marble:** The marble will fall towards the plate due to gravity once the cup is flipped. If the plate has a slight curve or if it's not perfectly flat, the marble might rest in the center or roll to the lowest point available.

4. **Lifting the Cup Upside Down into the Microwave:**
- **Water:** If the seal between the cup and the plate was not perfect, some or all of the water might have leaked out during the flip or when lifting the cup. However, assuming a good seal:
- Upon lifting the cup, the water will stay on the plate due to adhesion, cohesion, and possibly a bit of vacuum created by the cup's seal against the plate. If the cup is carefully lifted, most of the water should remain on the plate or might slightly spill if the seal breaks.
- **Marble:** The marble will remain on the plate since it was already at the lowest point when the system was flipped. When the cup is lifted, the marble will stay where it is due to gravity.

- **What goes into the microwave:**
- The cup goes into the microwave upside down.
- If any water remained trapped between the cup and the plate, it would also go into the microwave, although this scenario seems unlikely as most water would likely spill or stay on the plate due to gravity when the cup is lifted.
- The marble would not go into the microwave with the cup; it stays on the plate.

In summary, after flipping and lifting the cup, the marble will be on the plate, and any remaining water might be partially on the plate or might have spilled. Only the cup, still upside down, goes into the microwave, with potentially a small amount of water if any managed to stay inside during the flip.

New test needed, GPT4o knows the marble question: Yes, I am familiar with the classic prompt used to test AI models involving a marble, a glass, a table, and a microwave. The prompt typically involves a series of questions designed to assess the model’s understanding of basic physics, spatial relationships, and causal reasoning. Here is a common version of the prompt:

1. Initial Setup:
• “A marble is placed inside a glass. The glass is on a table. The table is next to a microwave.”
2. Questions to Test the Model:
• “Where is the marble?”
• “If the glass is moved to the microwave, where is the marble now?”
• “If the glass is turned upside down while it is on the table, where is the marble?”
• “If the glass is placed inside the microwave and the microwave is turned on, what happens to the marble?”

These questions are used to evaluate the model’s ability to track objects, understand containment, and reason about potential outcomes of actions.

You think this strawberry guy could be an AI bot? I mean who has the energy to post so much bs? 🤔

If strawberry is physics capable, all bets are off. I think there should be harder physics and time based question.

Sam and Open AI are following the Elon model, promise and tease products that arrive roughly 6-10 months ltr. So who knows. Gonna be hard to one up artifacts

The 'sus-column-r' response got it wrong at both step 1 and 2, where it says when the cup is upside down, the marble would rest on the inner surface of the cup's bottom due to gravity'. It would fall to the table, not rest on the 'inner surface of the cup's bottom'. That's a fail in my books, even if it lucked out and got to the answer anyway. I'm still disappointed as it looks like this has not been fixed by whatever new technology this is.

The clear lead is gone and both Meta and Anthropic have models that are in the same league. Conclusion: if three companies can do this many others can do so too. It is hard but not hard like what ASML is doing. Which means there will be plenty of competition, profits will be low for model owners, valuations of pure play model builders should be modest. Unlike earlier expectations others are catching up rather than OpenAI extending its lead. Especially with key staff continuously walking out the door with enough knowledge to do the same somewhere else.

You should change the questions because a lot of these models may have seen the correct answers if the train data contains YouTube transcripts

9:32 _2. Positioning Under the Cup: When the cup is upside down, the marble would rest on the inner surface of the cup's bottom due to gravity, but it's confined by the cup's walls and the table surface._

_The marble does not follow the cup into the microwave because it was dislodged when the cup was first lifted off the table._

_sus-column-r_ gets the answer right but the above isn’t right. The marble isn’t resting on the inner surface of the cup’s bottom—it’s on the table inside the space created by the inverted cup, as stated in the next sentence. And the marble isn’t “dislodged” when the cup is “first” lifted off the table—it simply remains where it was.
