Camvate Universal Camera Cage Review - Best Budget Camera Cage

How good is the Camvate Camera Cage for DSLRs? In this video, I plan to answer that question and many more!

When buying a camera cage there's a few things you should look at. First and foremost is price. You don't want to have to spend an arm and a leg for yet another piece of camera equipment. However, with this cinema cage that's most likely not going to be an issue because it comes in at only $81.22. That's a complete steal especially considering the overall quality.

Other than price though, what else should you look for? I'd say the next thing you'd want to research is the assembly speed of the cage. With the Camvate Camera Cage, I can assemble it in about 2 to 3 minutes, which isn't too bad. Although, keep in mind that when you first get this cage it may take you a little longer just because you're still getting used to it. On top of assembly speed is the durability and this thing doesn't disappoint. It's made entirely of anodized aluminum and overall feels solid in the hands. This cinema cage will definitely withstand some bangs and dings.

Another thing you might want to keep an eye out for are the build options. With this DSLR cage, you practically have endless build options. The cheese plates and number of holes for mounting all over this thing make it incredibly versatile and flexible. However, all of this is pointless if your camera doesn't even fit inside the Camvate Camera Cage. So, make sure you check your camera's dimensions and compare it with the dimensions of this cage.

The Camvate Camera Cage has been a strong addition to my cinema rig and has really upgraded my video quality. It's super versatile, durable, and affordable, which all make for a great piece of equipment. I like the way you showed the breakdown of the components. I was wondering how rigid the joints are where the upright tube assembles to the horizontal rails above and below the camera. i.e. any wiggle or twisting going on after a long period of use.
