How to use Facebook pay

Facebook Pay is a secure payment system from Facebook to send or request money to anyone.

You can also buy things on Facebook using Facebook Pay and use it for donation payments.

There are no fees for sending or requesting money from friends.

You can use Facebook Pay inside of Facebook and Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

Facebook Pay can be set up inside of the Facebook app.
Simply click on the menu icon and search for Facebook Pay. You will need to link a debit or credit card to Facebook pay in order to receive or withdraw money. You can also use PayPal.

Once you do, you can set a pin for more security under the settings tab.

To send or request money with Facebook Pay, choose a person on top or search for them. Click on their name and it will open up Messenger.

In Messenger, it will ask you to type in the dollar amount, write a note and choose send or request.

If you haven’t linked a payment method, it will ask you do to so here.

I don’t even have the search option at all on top what do I do?

The big questions for me are in relation to Paypal as a payment method. Let's say you buy an item on marketplace from an individual that qualifies for Facebook buyer/purchase protection - in the fine print, Facebook says there are statements about payments made using paypal, third party peer to peer payments and payments made on messenger don't qualify for protection. So, does Paypal's buyer protection kick in, or does it just send the cash as friends and family payment instead of goods and services. From what I've read, it doesn't allow you to choose since it's going through Facebook pay. It's all confusing.

When I go to Facebook Pay it doesn't show me the friend requests I can send to. Can you help me?

After watching your video, I opened FB from my phone and I had to search for FB Pay; it wasn't anywhere in the list. I have looked and looked and found nothing that looks like your video. This must be an older video for at least one reason-the 3 bars are on the top of my FB home page whereas you show them on the bottom right. I have looked all over the site and I see NO way to even send a request for I do see a list of payments that I recognize from Messenger to family members. What to do????:):)

Don't both parties have to set up Facebook Pay or as it is called now Meta Pay? I can see why it is necessary to know where the money is coming from, but isn't it also necessary to know where it is going?

This option is only available for some countries. Australians can’t access this option to send money to US

The pay friend money icon is showing up on messenger. How do I get the icon to appear on messenger

I ended up blocking someone because they was asking for me to show them my active ID card, then asked for my login information when I told them I couldn't find my ID Card. I really don't understand the Facebook pay I have never used it before.

Thanks for this video. But, for some reason, the friends list does not appear for me, only the ones I donated money in the past. It also does not appear on Messenger for me.Can I receive money from someone who is not in my friend's list? Thank you.
