I brought a pregnant cat from the highway and she gives birth the day after.

This episode is about her and 4 healthy newborn kittens are doing in 3 days.

Hi, my name is Moti from Indonesia. I have 13 cats at home.

Basically, i'm an animal lover, but i get attached to cats since the beginning.
I'm not an organization, not a shelter also, but i always wanted to feed or rescue animals in the street.

My dream is to be able to build a shelter for animals, and have a team to run the shelter. And of course, the big goal is, to fight animal cruelty in all over the world.

I used to feed a stary cat every day on my way to school. I wanted to adopt her but we already had a German shepherd, and my parents didn't like cats either. There are no shelter in my area, where the stray cat could go to. So I just made sure to feed her and pet her everyday. After a few days she followed me home. But never entered the house. Just stayed somewhere in the garden. My mom saw her and said that she looked pregnant. I just thought that she became fat. But my mom was right. One day I returned home to my dog was laying on the floor and the cat was cuddling her, while the kittens drank milk. I don't know when my dog and cat became friends because I never introduced them. We officially adopted the mom cat at that after that. And she is still staying home with her 2 kittens, who are now cats but one of them acts more like a dog than cat.

The face she gave you when you added a new kitten was adorable. "This fuzzball... isn't mine. But i guess I can keep it." Im happy she accepted Puci, too 💙

I love how momma cats will take care of almost any baby they're presented with. Their instincts are so strong, they just want the babies to live!

From her experience as a stray, the open, bright area of the cage would have felt far too exposed for her to leave her babies, instinct is to find a dark, secluded location.

You must be really happy for her, and the kitties now have a safer start in life because of your kindness and humanity, and the mother has a stable environment in which to grow her kitties.

If you cover the walls/top of the cage with towels or blankets next time (if there is one) mama might feel better about keeping the babies in there, cause then she'll feel less exposed but also able to see/watch for predators (cause the front should be left at least partially open) :) So Good on you for taking in mama and babies!! <3

She is so beautiful and her kittens too. Yes, They like closed, hidden and dark places for their kittens. That is why she kept moving them away from the cage due to the exposed location on the room and being too lit. If you every help a pregnant cat just remember to set up a box with blankets in a corner with no light. Cats are very private animals. Change their linens frequently as cats are very clean and they will appreciate it, as their babies make messy and it is hard for the moms to keep up and they will move their babies to a different location if the place is soiled.
