I’m glad stone cold retired when he did. We never saw broken down stone cold. Only remember his glory days

The fact that austin was an active wrestler in WWE for 7 years only and did all that is even more impressive

He's not wrong. He did save the WWE. WCW was destroying WWF at the time and Stone Cold was an absolute beast of a character at the time.

I agree. The WWE wouldn't be where it is today if it wasn't for Stone Cold.

He left at his peak and will always be remembered at his peak. The best way you can go

There is no one else, Stone Colds' story was one of the greatest in wrestling history. He spent years in WCW as midcard, floated through ECW, and in his early 30s reached his peak as Stone Cold. Many people dont even know the history, it makes his story even more inspiring.

Austin was also clever enough to change his style after the broken neck.

Definitely Stone Cold. For only being in WWE for 5 years he saved the WWE and started the attitude era

Stone Cold will always be in everybody's Mount Rushmore.
He saved WWF/WWE from losing the Monday Night War, he was the face of the company from '98 all the way until his eventual retirement in '03. Plus, he kept appearing, not as a performer, not as a wrestler, but as an entertainer. Who doesn't wanna see Stone Cold give a couple of stunners and drink beer in the process. And, he didn't even look that bad in his final match at Mania 38. Stone Cold is definitely the best this business will ever see, and I'm glad he went out like a champion. Some people will still wrestle after many injuries, even risking their lives in the process, but Stone Cold knew when to call it quits. That is why I will always respect this man.

Ric Flair plays himself down. He’s covered the stratosphere of professional wrestling and done it extremely well the whole time!

The whole attitude era was the most popular. I used to have Monday night party. Wwf, wcw, and football

I wasn't realize that neck injury has made him retired too early somehow (39), but I admit he was one of the best wwe superstar in history (personally I wanna say that he himself THE Attitude Era).

The whole time period of the Monday Night Wars will never be topped. WWE and WCW were both putting on incredible shows.

It’s the only answer. Austin is the reason that WWE became a mega corporation and went public. He made wrestling pop culture the entire time he was on top. And is still 25 years later the top merchandise seller. It’s incredible.
