Ready to scream and shake this October? As horror fans, with the season of frights upon us, our collective thoughts might turn to watching the scariest, most mysterious, and eerie movies we can find. From the timeless classics of the good old days to the most recent horror flicks, everyone has their favorite go-to titles for Halloween. But what do you do when you’ve already watched all your seasonal favorites?

Sometimes, you may want something a bit more... chilling — an escape into something unnerving, which is different from what you have been watching every previous Halloween for who knows how many years. To serve up the scares you crave, here's a list of creepy videos guaranteed to make your heart race! What I bring you today is the eeriest the dark side of YouTube offers — these are 30 scary videos that should come with a warning, and to be honest, you're not prepared for what you're about to see!

Ever wondered why scary videos are so popular online? Why do fans of the horror genre, for the most part, prefer watching them over the usual teen-scream scary flicks? Sure, the jump scares and special effects in horror movies are unsettling, but look past the gimmicks and you’re left with flat acting and an implausible, often laughable storyline. You can't really relate to it much. But coming to real-life creepy videos, there's just something intrinsically terrifying about them... something that makes you think you too can come face to face with the ominous incidents displayed in them some unfortunate day.

With that, to help you make the most of this year's spooky season, here, I've tackled some of the creepiest corners of the internet and hand-picked a scary sampling of their most sinister, hair-raising, and unimaginably freaky offerings. Depending on your proclivities, this scary comp may very well be the beginning of a new rabbit hole for you that will take you deep into uncharted horror waters and carry you all the way through the end of the month and beyond! But be cautioned — the creepy videos included in this list are some of the scariest clips you can ever come across! The dire chills they'd bring into your life are going to make you experience firsthand what being an active partaker in something nightmarish is like.

With chills running up and down your spine, your heart beating out of your chest, and the chances of you having a good night's sleep tonight next to none, these creepy videos will leave your psyche in absolute wreckage. This is no joke, what you're about to watch contains nerve-wracking, nail-biting events that may make your existence miserable. Seriously, choosing to watch these scary videos is an open invitation for nightmares to haunt your dreams. So, if you get frightened easily, tread lightly. You have been cautioned.

Done watching? That's great!
Which of these scary videos frightened the living daylights out of you the most? Let me know right below in the comments!

The narrator's inflection is what gave me the chills.

"Did you hear the scream" No because all I could hear is the ambient background music smothering it.
"Did you hear the growl" Again no, because again the background music is louder than the quiet 'paranormal' noises in the videos! Lots of us have politely pointed this out on many of your videos, and honestly it really ruins it for me.

How did the lady not feel her earring move? Especially the second time. You can clearly see her earlobe moving with each tug. Nah she's faking.

Some roof guttering have a clear plastic covering to protect the surface before installing. On the back mounting surface if the plastic is not removed, even in slight breezes, the plastic acts like a reed, like in a saxophone or clarinet, and makes this horrid noise. Had several roofing customers make this complaint over the years. It could be something like that I suspect.

The purpose of leaving a mark on the tree is for other con-artists door-to-door "salesmen" to know the residents are an "easy mark". This is typically done on a wooden fence but if there isn't adequate surface area a tree would do. This was explained on an episode of DRAGNET. And I know it is from the 60s but these techniques are still applied today

I am a firm believer in the paranormal. But I also believe that even those of us who believe need to have a healthy amount of skepticism due to the fact that there are so many people making hoax videos. I find the video with the girl in the earring extremely intriguing due to the fact that you’re close up you can’t see anything or anybody moving the earring. That doesn’t however mean that it wasn’t a hoax. The one thing I find concerning is that she makes no attempt to grab the earring or as any normal person would do put their hand over their ear. Leads me to believe that there’s a possibility that somehow somebody was manipulating the earring rather than it being paranormal.

I remember that the lady at #28 got caught faking with a quija board. She had someone off screen with a string moving it and they didn't make sure to avoid reflections and having moving hand shadows on the table

This reminds of this one time where things were so scary that everyone in town died. The end.

25 is because she has Ehler's Danlos syndrome, it's hyper elasticity in the joints and ligaments, I know because I have it.

Number 15 looks like nothing more than someone walking past the window outside and casting their reflection on the t.v.

I wear small hoop earrings and I'd definitely feel it if one started moving.

Please turn your background music down. We can't hear the growls or screams, etc. Good grief!

I'd say find out if there was any ceiling fans on in the room because there's a napkin moving around on the counter right before the shelf falls down and stops moving after everything hit the floor
