Xbox One's Quantum Break Delayed

This is the first time all the major video game platforms have had one unified architecture. Which in theory should have made game development more simple and efficient. Yet I can't ever remember a generation plagued by so much delays, bugs and laziness.

Dev's these days should make a game all the way to finished product, then spend 6 months hyping it up and releasing it, so then, no delays which in turn means no customer frustration.

It can come from game design changes, Bugs, Coding issues, Publishers jumping in and wanting some thing changed or added. It can be a myriad of different things. I do agree they should not bother giving a release date till the game is pretty much finished.

It is the nature of the beast.

Software programming is complicated and tedious. Glitches come from sometimes one wrong number or letter on the 329th line of code of millions of lines of code. I don't envy these developers. At the same time I think this might have more to do with business. Phil Spencer said some games would have to get pushed back into 2016 because they have a pretty full fall line up and I assumed quantum break and scale bound would be the two games that got pushed back.

It wouldn't be a Remedy title without delays.

I think the delay for this particular game (Quantum Break) is related to other things, especially the end of Microsoft TV Series division (do you remember there was a TV Show related to this game?), as well as DirectX 12 and Windows 10 upcoming releases. Ok, maybe DX12 won't be a huge improvement, but it's certainly not bad.

Pretty simple really, production values have gone up another notch, which means these games take even longer to make than they already did.  I do agree that companies shouldn't even bother announcing a release date til a month or 2 before the game comes out.

i don't get why people don't get it, is sample, they make all this ''new games'' and ''new exclusives''  for X date release, mostly announcing for the same year, why? to make hype, and sell more consoles on the same year, the developers already know from the beginning that the game will not be on time, is an strategy ti sell more consoles NOW.  it worked with me, i just bought a ps4 like 2 months a go thinking that is a pretty good time to buy it because of incoming games, i was wrong, the only game that has me hooked on the last 2 month is bloodborne, that's it.

These companies give these release dates so people can run out and buy the damn system. They already know they can't reach it, but they give one anyway. They think they're gettin over they're only pissing everybody one off! That goes for Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo. They keep this shit up people will realize.... And just because a game is delayed don't mean it will be polished and great.

The only one that was broken was Driveclub.

I Hope E3 will give us final release dates on upcoming games.

2015 is turning into the year of delayed game. Just look at project cars that game is pushed back every month.

It's not just Xbox, ps4, or of. You gotta realize it's multiplat game developers are doing the same. Have you forget Arkham night? Or the witcher 3 ? Gta V or even Rainbow Siege? Xbox, Pc, and Ps4 have no control over them but yet they still putting out dates and delaying them.
