Thank you so much for posting this.To me NFL Primetime will always be the best highlight show of all time. I was 11 in 1989 and watched this every Sunday evening.

What a opening week this was in 89. Jimmy Johnson’s Coaching debut. Barry & Deion Sanders debut. The epic finish in the Miami/Buffalo game.

Pretty remarkable for Tim Krumrie to be playing in Week 1, less than 8 months removed from an ugly-looking injury in the Super Bowl. Especially with far less advanced sports medicine and procedures than what we have now.

I miss the helmet graphic designs and even the on screen text from this era. The music and pacing of the highlights just seems so right. Just a simpler, better time. Tom Jackson looking young af.

Berman's voice is irritating. He says way too many words all in a row. He needs to listen and study Howard Cosell carefully.
