New Trek Dual Sport 4 hybrid bicycle 2021

My new bike Trek Dual Sport 4 2021 model, new addition to my Trek bike family. I bought this bike because it is hard to get one, I really wanted it. This is amazing bike with many cool upgrades. Buy one while you can and you won't be disappointed well maybe with price I guess.. I had to drive to central Illinois to pick up my bike, it was well worth it because there were no available bikes in the whole state.

Congratulations on your new bike, it’s a beautiful looking machine. I was seriously looking into buying this model but decided against it because some reviewers were saying there aren’t enough gears for uphill and getting enough speed on the flat. Waiting to see what upgrades trek include on the 2022 model if the release an update

What did you do with the marlin? How easier to ride it in % than ds2 / marlin (how much less effort pedaling) would you say? If I ride this and the ds2 without gear switching would you be able to tell which is which just by riding it?

How does it feel, I mean coming down to 1x drivetrain from a 3x drivetrain

I feel that this bike should have been 2x/3x speed considering that the dual sport is targeted as a City/ Urban Commuter
