Everybody keeps saying he is doing it wrong.
I don’t know why?
1 sub 2 ohm dvc yes you can drop it to 1 ohm as long as the amp is stable at 1 ohm
If it were two subs this would final at .5 or 2 ohm considering the two different ways of wiring those subs but he is only wiring 1 sub not 2 so he is 100% correct calm down people do your homework first.
Before bashing someone for doing the right thing.
This will sound crazy but I have run 2 ohm stable amps at 1ohm and didn’t blow it.
I wouldn’t recommend doing this most amps can’t do it but some are capable good ones anyways.

i’m running a ab monoblock 2ohm stable amp to some DVC 4ohm 2 10kickers and they’re hitting i just want to know if it’s okay or not it does get hot if i run it for like 3 hours continuously and goes into protect mode so i try not to run them that long like i can go back and forth to work or to my friends house and they are fine but if i run them for hours my amp gets hot and shuts down just need some advice

That’s parallel Nd its 2 ohm it be one ohm if there was 2 2ohm loads or 1 dual 2ohm

Well since this is a d4 sub wiring in parallel will get u 2 ohm u need another sub like this to be at 1 ohm or get 1 d2 sub nice try tho.

Wrong!! You first have to know what the ohm rating of the sub from factory. If that sub is stable at 1 ohm on both coil that will be wiring down to .5 ohms. And you'll fry your amp!!

You can’t wire a single 4ohm and get to 1ohm. Good way to warm up your amp tho!😂
