sometimes my computer completely freezes and ctrl+alt+delete is the only solution

If they eliminate CTRL+SHIFT+ESC then you'll have NO way to terminate a hanging Explorer instance. Brilliant.

Ctrl + Alt + Delete
Has nothing directly to do with closing programs since windows xp (Last os with the taskList).
It's a shortcut that runs a high priority program that is designed to withstand great stress on the computer and provides troubleshooting options.
The end task button has no common use case with Ctrl + Alt + Delete.

If I ever become a computer science teacher I'm gonna put a gigantic chart of shortcuts on the wall because goddamn there helpful

I started using it in MS DOS times... It was quite handy, then.

Funny thing is, explorer is the process that freezes most often so this won’t be able to help when your taskbar is frozen 💀

The explorer bar is the main thing I usually have to go into ask manager to stop hahahah

just adding this here, theyre not removing ctrl alt delete menu, its still there. they're just adding an end task button on the taskbar, that's it. not sure why he said "replacing"

Pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del is the only way to sign out of the Windows account without mouse. I prefer to sign out using keyboard instead of mouse because keyboard is not moving, it’s existing for longer time than mouse, and BIOS (unless it is UEFI) doesn’t support mouse at all.

for that reason the task manager is pinned to my taskbar

Literally any exclusive full screen game that crashes enters the chat

The short cut to go to end tasks was ctrl shift ESC. The alt dlt one was way more useful for full stuck pc

Task Manager has certain elevations that allow it to run even during dire times.
If Explorer crashed, you wouldn't be able to right click a task. Lol.
That said, I assume Task Manager will still be an option.

Personally I prefer using Ctrl alt delete and I still remember it very, very well

There's a crap-ton of useful commands that took me years to learn, simply bc i never knew they existed. The internet didnt exist. And no one could be bothered to teach. Bc they also had no idea.
