There will be two different versions of Rocksmith 2014: one solus pack that contains just the game, and a pack containing the game and a cable (ideally for people who do not have the current Rocksmith game).

The standard cable with Rocksmith 1, is the same cable as this one, so no, you dont need to buy a new cable, which "should" make it a lot cheaper :)

They've indicated that if you have the original game, you can import the songs from the original disc. From the original FAQ:

What about the on-disc songs from the original Rocksmith? Can I play those?
Rocksmith 2014 Edition will be backwards compatible! This means you’ll be able to play the on-disc songs from the original Rocksmith, so keep your copy around.

While Ubisoft have previously said that they will try and get them, Metallica songs are very unlikely to appear in Rocksmith due to costs and also due to an existing contract over "Guitar Hero: Metallica".

1, No (because it's hard to make one song in rocksmith so it must be not free because people who made it must got any profit)
2, No (because axl don't give a permission on songs where he is playing whith slash)
But you can register on forums.smithyanvil com and you can find many songs of many bands (gnr too).

For those that have purchased the original Rocksmith, and purchased a bunch of songs, are songs going to transfer to 2014? Will all of the songs from Rocksmith transfer, or just the downloadable ones?

Yeah great job but in rocksmith 1 trailers i felt the same (it's awesome etc.) but when i bought it it was not as good as trailers shows. I will buy 2014 version but i hope it will be much better than old version.

.. They've been showing session mode since E3. Why would they release a game for XB1 that's totally niche and has issues with backwards compatibility?
