Ugh, so I decided to try my hand at brewing beer at home, thinking it would be a fun and rewarding experience. I followed the recipe to the letter, or so I thought. I mean, how hard can it be, right? Well, apparently harder than I thought. As I was transferring the mixture from the fermenter to the bottling bucket, I knocked over the jug and spilled half of it all over the counter. And then, to make matters worse, I realized I forgot to add the yeast! So, after all that hard work, my beer is basically just a bunch of sugary water. I'm talking flat, undrinkable beer. My wife even had the decency to politely tell me it tastes like someone poured ketchup in my beer. Yeah, that's not exactly what I was going for. Needless to say, my brewing career is on hold until further notice.

Why brew yourself, if you don't actually brew yourself? I don't get the concept. When buying a ready made mixture (20 bucks per gallon + energy bill) and put it in 700$ machine, that makes the rest within 14 days ... why not buying a quality beer by a local brewer? I really like DIY ... but in this case i would not feel a difference to a beer dispenser for a small keg. Other than the dispenser being much cheaper and i don't have to wait 2 weeks...
