There’s a couple ways to tell if a supercharger is V2 (150kW max) or V3 (250kW max). The car’s nav will tell you if you click on it whether it’s max is 150 or 250. V2 cables are thicker/stiffer (fun in winter). V2 stalls are labeled 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B etc to reflect that those 2 stalls share power (ie someone charging at 1B will have their power halved if someone pulls into 1A). V3 are labeled 1A 1B 1C 1D and while they share power, they’re not limited due to dynamic load sharing. If your low SOC car kicks all the way up to 250, you’re at V3 (or 170 if you have RWD standard range).

I absolutely love your content no one else has done anything with the LR RWD model 3.

Took delivery of my 24 M3 RWD LR last week before the referral program started unfortunately but I love it!, coming from a 23 MY AWD, I prefer the M3 it is fast!. Audio has some good bass, just no subwoofer and the extra 6 speakers. I live in a midwestern state and have not had issues with driving FWD and RWD vehicles in Snow.

My 2024 model 3 performance has the exact same charge curve! It was rumored the battery chem is different but I doubt that now. I had a first production 2018 LR before. The 2018 charged much faster BUT there have been countless improvements. You made a great choice with RWD LR, congrats.

I’ve been watching your videos because I just ordered a LR RWD, however this will be my 3rd Tesla. Also have a 2018 AWD M3 and a 2022 AWD MY. All three have generally the same battery, 75 kWh NMC, so I assume they will all charge the same, which is generally 20% to 80% in 20 mins on V3

your app or the car should tell you the charging speeds of the station. Also from the look of the charger you are on a version 3 (capable of 250). The version 2 chargers had a silver collar at the base of the handle where it meets the cable. Nice looks car man.

If you're getting anything over 150KW, it's at least a 250KW charger. If you're getting anything less than 250KW (but not at a V1 SuperCharger), running the AC will not affect charge performance.

Thanks buddy. You saved me a grand on my model Y order just now

Seems like we both got the same car on the same day. I love mine too. You charged at a 250kW charger. The RWD LR can charge up to 250kW. Thanks for the videos.

40 cents/kwh is absurd. Some of the highest ive seen. The cost to fill a prius is about the same or less. Now if you home charge EVs cost significantly less to charge normally

Tint those windows man and save yourself some heat headache. I have 5% in the rear and back two, 45% in the front/passanger and 20% on windshield with 10% on moonroof. No heat whatsoever and the AC becomes hyper effective.. lessening it's cost on range.

Nice video. I’ve recently started to become more interested in Tesla’s . I like the new model 3 performance but also like the S.
Thank you for sharing a charging session experience.
What I’d like to know is how is your experience with any Tesla model vehicle in the winter? I live in Illinois and this past winter. I huge amount of Tesla owners had major charging problems (pretty sure it was the charging aspect) because how cold it was . A lot of cars were just stranded at the charging stations.
Ever have an issue? Maybe you don’t live where it gets cold and snowy?
If not, anyone else experience an issue with there Tesla in winter? Ty 😊

Tempted to trade my 21 dual motor m3 for this but I think juniper is worth the wait.

The reason Tesla's always win the Out of Spec races is not because they have the longest range or the fastest charging speed, but;
--The Superchargers are reliable and virtually never have problems.
--Superchargers are the closest to the highways especially much more so than Electrify America.
--Tesla has the best planning on their Navigation system.

Crazy how the predicted time can be off by 20%. I mean the car is stationary and you know the power going in. You would think they can better predict this stuff. The teenage estimator is even worse which is rather annoying

My 2018 LR RWD honestly charges about the same as this car. Which is cool if you’re into old cheap examples like mine. But pretty disappointing if you expected a refresh car to get better. Tesla seems to be coasting at this point and not trying to make their basic products better.
