Ahmed Mohamed, the fourteen-year-old student who was detained for bringing a clock to school, is moving to Qatar to continue his education. Conservative media still won’t cut him a break. Honestly, that "clock" looked really suspicious. As PC as you want to be or not. You have to admit that a briefcase full of chips, batteries, cables, etc. Looks very suspicious. It is out of the movies with the "cut the red cable!" It may not have been okay to scalate the inspection so much, but any normal person would have had doubts when confronted with this. I would have honestly informed the teacher, superior or law enforcenment.

TYT needs to take an huge L on this one right here. A kid settled in the states is moving to Qatar uprooting his whole family is nuts just for a scholarship. Even the initial story about him smuggling a clock to school was dubious could of been a bomb yet TYT supported this kid. Shame on TYT they need to realized that they shouldn't of jumped to conclusions.

This clip makes me sad. I really used to like and respect TYT, but the way they are doubling down on this story and don't mention any of the factual details that are very important to the story really bothers me. They are doing the very thing they criticize Fox news of doing. We don't need more liberal warriors we need you to tell the truth. Come on TYT I know your better than this.

They're giving this kid way too much credit, he's not going to invent shit. He took the guts of a clock and stuck it in a briefcase... prodigy he is not.

Don't get me wrong, it's impressive when a kid as young as he is becomes interested in engineering and science. He'll probably build a nice career for himself if he keeps it up and not get some girl pregnant. But TYT needs to chill out with this kid, he hasn't shown to be anything special.
