I grew up in the Seattle area in the 60’s, love seeing miss bardahl again.😊

Loved watching them when they came to ElDorado Lake Kansas! A couple were in the early stages of turbines but most ran Rolls/Merlin.

Love these! Nearly fifty years ago we watched the Madison Regatta in Madison Indiana. Always remember seeing Miss Madison and Miss Budweiser duke it out !!

I can remember watching these boats on the Detroit river in the late 40s and thought they were awesome.

I remember the race at Sand Point. Budweiser in the corners, Pay-n-Pak in the straights. What a heat!

Growing up off the Puget Sound, waiting for Seafair and the thunder boats racing on lake Washington and at the Tri Cities was the big events for us back in the 70's and 80's.

Grew up in Seattle, 50s and 60s, I saw some absolutely fantastic Hydro races back then.

So good hearing these hydros, I grew up around them as my dad built and raced them in the 50's and 60's. Such a pity about the video quality, I accept it is what it is. Thanks for bringing these back.

Watching these bring back so many memories….i lived near the Niagara river growing up…. One year in the 70, s they raced there it was on wide world of sports…. It was so cool…..

Dad took me too lake washington as a kid, fondest memories of atlas and bud battleing. A great memory and upbringing, thans dad (rip).

When i was just a young fella around 1971, 72 we were at the boat races quite often. Aggressor was my favourite she was amazing to watch, All the smaller boat would Shanghai around the boys. And Aggressor and Stampede would take the whole lake up skimming across the surface, It was mined blowing for a kid to watch. Im really happy to see the new owners looking after her. Peace ✌🏻

Growing up in Detroit we would go to Belle Isle swimming and watch the practicing for the Gold Cup race. On the Detroit River it was awesome.

in 69, I lived 1 door down in Santee Calf/ to U5EEEE, the finish in spired me all my life I was grade 3 at the time. so many valve cover nuts, the carb opening was bigger than my fist.

Thanks for the memories i helped out on a hydro in the sixties the owner had 2 boats one with a Ferrari the second a Maserati water had to be dead flat i saw speed of around 120mph with a huge rooster tail bit of wind and rough water ment trouble.

Now that’s what I grew up too. Here in San Diego on Mission Bay you could hear the Thunder boats miles away 🥲🥲
