I lived in Beijing in the late 80s. Now it has changed so much that I couldn’t find the places I used to go except the forbidden city and the other heritage sites. Beijing is a grand and magnificent city of history, beauty, and everyday life. Very fond memories of Beijing.

I went in August of 2024! Was so very grateful to the Forbidden City for having a separate ticket window station to get same-day tickets if you were a foreigner, cause the website was challenging to get tickets on! Such a magnificent city, can't wait to return! So happy to see so many countries get Visa-free status last year as well. China is such a beautiful, high-tech, clean, safe, wonderful country and we in the west have so much to learn and appreciate from China. Lots of love from USA <3 <3

Welcome to the cultural center &commercial hub of china!~~~I'm sure you will get a unique glimpse into china and if you come, remember to taste the Beijing roast duck! And I recommend you to seek Beijing's authentic food in Hutong(a kind of narrow alley between houses )to dig those delicious snacks!
