The Other 9/11: Pinochet's Shock Doctrine

In the Webb talk, I discussed if Pinochet's strategy of the Shock Doctrine was successful or not and if the ends justified the means. To answer this question, I looked into the failure of the short term economy in Pinochet's regime and also its human rights violation towards its own citizens. I also discussed the economic stagnation under Allende, which led to a CIA supported coup. I weighed the positives and negatives of both sides' arguments and then I talked about if the Shock Doctrine did more harm than good for Chile.
