Details I like:

1- The dolls neck being broken symbolizes how Ron died.

2- Mr. Red Face = The Abusive/Drunk Dad.

3- Mr. Red Face = The embodiment of the person/people who killed the other kids.

4 - The door opening and closing 14 times at the beginning represents the 14 days that passed after Ron's death.

5 - After Mr. Red Face enter Ron's room and leaves the box with the doll, he heads towards the closet. Meaning that night was the same one Ron got killed.

6 - The Doll who looks like Ron was placed in a gift box, the gift box might symbolize a coffin.

7 - The Ron doll drinking and hitting the alcohol bottle 3 times was the exact same thing the dad did before he killed Ron.

8 - When the dad was killing Ron, the room light was flickering. Representing Ron's heartbeat rate.

9 - The reason the mom didn't know Ron was dead was because the mom could only see Ron's spirit at night since she comes home late from work. And it's also a Vietnamese belief *since the game's creators are Vietnamese.*

10 - The "Spell" card was the motel card Ron got when he was trying to "rescue" his dad.

11 - Ron trying the rescue his dad was actually him haunting him for killing him.

12 - Mr. Red Face is called that because when a person drinks, their face becomes red. And since the dad was an alcoholic, it make him Mr. Red Face.

13 - The Cat is actually like the guardian or an angel for the kids that got killed by abusive parents or people.

Ok so you got killed on the night of ur birthday, and mr redface on the first night was actually ur dad killing and hiding you. Ron the doll was trying to tell you abt it, like when he showed you the wine bottle being smacked down. Your dad did that b4 killing you, and the fight they had b4 that was right after you went to your room on your birthday. Doesnt it make more sense now? 26:49 was when you came to "save" your dad and he kept saying (you can see he is shaking the same way) but you didnt know. And the end is where all the children were hidden. In a hole, a fire, a car trunk, and then a closet. Also a fun fact is in the intro the door opened 14 times because it took your mom 14 days to find your dead body. But, she was gone so much that she thought you were asleep since she was almost never home. Then.. she found out. So anyways thats the lore!!

The story behind the scenes are actually really dark, remember how the doll said his neck breaking is small flaw compared to others? Well, it represents Ron’s neck breaking when he died and “the small flaw compared to others” means other children died a worst death or had a worst life.

For those who dont get it, Mr Redface is like a combo of all the abu$1ve parents in one entity, another reason could be the fact that when people drink, it usually gives people a red face, which is where they get the nickname, “red face”

1. At the start, The door opened and closed 14 times because it took mom 14 days (2 weeks) to realize you've been killed

2. The footsteps Mr. Redface was making was actually the footsteps Dad was making when he was coming to kill you

3. Your doll Ron was drinking to represent Dad

4. Your doll's neck was crooked because he feels everything you feel which also connects to how you died

5. The girl who is in the grave died while being buried, The boy who is sitting in the campfire died while being burned, The girl in the car trunk was kidnapped and she died, and you who is in the closet died in a closet

The scene where the corpse haunted the dad in his motel and said "come home with me dad" was the same scene when the kid tried to rescue him from mister red face, he was also telling him to come home and then found the motel card which got him caught.

If you look at the way the kids are in the end, I think it tells us how they died or where. The girl looked like she was in a ditch or grave of some sort. The boy way sitting directly in the fire. And the other boy is sitting on the bed of truck. The son was sitting in the wardrobe, where he died/ where his body was. But this is just a theory of mine. The game was so good. Loved the twist! Love watching you play games!
