Do grind dust sprites. After killing like 500 dust sprites (I can’t remember but somewhere that high) go to the adventures guild and go to the gil and you can get the burglars ring. So it isn’t a good coal option but does offer a great ring

"dont farm dust sprites" is TERRIBLE advice lol. buying coal early game for non pro players just isnt viable, and when your quarry is still replenishing, it is by far your best option, especially when you consider that killing enough dust sprites grants you the burglars ring, which is not only one of the best rings in the game, it will help you get even more coal from them.

Since 1.6 there's really no sense to farm spirits or buy coal. I didn't any specific but always have 400+ coal
