Before the Knicks and the Bulls were, ya know, THE KNICKS AND THE BULLS, they had a pretty awesome battle on Christmas 1986. Let's visit this moment in history, where Patrick Ewing's Knicks were pretty bad, Michael Jordan was reestablishing himself after injury, and the nascent rivalry gave us one of its first great moments in history.

Seth's videos are unequivocally the best ones out of all. Consistent storytelling with humor and flow. He always carries.

"room temperature luck" is one of the best "if you know, you know" moments on this channel.

"His name sounds like a minor league baseball team". LOL

Good work! Definitely one of the origin games that ignited and led to one of the best Eastern Conference rivalries of the 1990s.

It's fun when you can watch the beginning of an era shift as the Magic-Bird phase of the league was still going strong but was clearly on the clock.

Sadly that Michael Jordan guy would never be heard from again as Ewing went on to win 6 championships.

"Room temperature luck" is a deep cut... it's a deeper cut to know that you can actually see him bang the Knicks envelope before dropping it in, he then awkwardly grabs the bent envelope from underneath all the others on top, you can even seen the bent envelope with the naked eye on video. Plenty of videos on YouTube prove it

Nice video. Ewing was a monster. His legacy took a bad turn just cause of a couple of games against Rockets in 1994. Let's keep that in mind.

I could listen to Seth talk about quirky Knicks things all day. Reminds me of the good old days on Posting and Toasting.

"Michael Jordan is the biggest draw in the league right now." In 1986. When Boston had a season for the ages. 40-1 at home. Celtics/Lakers. Magic/Bird.

Jordan and the Chicago market are still good for TV, but that is much too strong a choice of words.
