We recorded this 4k ultra hd video during our trip to Lille, France on August 2020.
Lille is the capital of the Hauts-de-France region in northern France and the core of one of the largest metropolitan agglomerations in the country. Historically, it has also been the capital of Flanders, and later an industrial powerhouse, thanks to which it now boasts a large and handsome historic centre.
Today, it is known as a major economic and academic centre, with a very large student population (more than 110,000 students).
Our guided walking tour is about 3.1 miles (5 km) long, starts at Paris Gate (Porte de Paris), ends at Citadel of Lille and covers most attractions and historic sites of Lille.

I've been living in Lille for 2 years now. If you want to visit, I suggest you come in summer (around July, especially), because weather can be quite dark, cold and rainy during other seasons here. Otherwise, it's a nice "Lil'" City, when it's sunny. This walk is showing you the essentials, so good job !

Je suis né rue des Vieux Murs en 1955 et ai grandi rue des Trois Molettes. J'ai quitté cette ville il y a vingt ans. Mon quartier est devenu méconnaissable, tout est devenu beau. Je me suis renseigné, je ne pourrai même pas acheté ma maison natale, c'est devenu un quartier de bobos richissimes, les habitants ne sont plus les mêmes. Beaucoup de touristes, trop peut-être...
