I know this is a sad moment but I can't help but find it badass that they gave Naofumi a shield that has the freaking vector cannon from Zone of the Enders.

What only knows people who read the novel is, that Ray gun worked using turtle's power and for that reason Naoufumi could attack, as you may have seen, Ost forced the shield to do it cause normally it wouldn't
So maybe in the future you will hear him trying to use that shield again but will be impossible because he don't have enough power and the only way to obtain it is absorbing the power of the guardians beasts

I just adore this scene the timing of the opening and how the shield shows naofumi doesnt have the same hatred he had for this world, I do wonder if Fitoria has some clairvoyant powers when she said to choose the world or the people that resides in it (the spirit tortoise can stop the waves but at the cost of the ppl)

Despite everything that's been happening how fast S2 is flying through this arc, and momments I wished were animated, I really loved this scene, and the OP for the begining of this series just became one that I love because of this scene, fits really well as a hype up song.
