Correct Sprag Clutch engagement

A starter Sprag Clutch should only rotate separately from the Flywheel in ONE direction. Clockwise in this case. The Sprag Clutch should engage with the Flywheel when turned counter clockwise

Mate I've brought a new sprag clutch which comes complete with stator. I've fitted it and the grinding sound is still there, is it possible my sprag is not engaged correctly I've watched your vid a heap of times but can't work out exactly when it's engaged correctly

What does the Sprag Clutch do here? Help start the bike??
